keukenhof

today my study abroad buddies and i went to keukenhof, a flower park that only stays open for three months out of the whole year. today was the last day to go until next march. it seemed fitting that, despite a rainy past few days, it was sunny and gorgeous.

we took the bus from leiden centraal station.



on the way, we passed this building:


i have no idea what it is, but it looks awesome.

the dutch are really gung-ho about the beijing olympics:


the park, of course, had some amazing flowers.

it caters to the cheesiest of tourists.



but it also draws a different kind of crowd.
